Long-Term Goals
Vision Statement
The Peak House Heritage Center, a major landmark in Medfield, Massachusetts, has served as a town historical center for decades. As its new stewards, we began in 2019 by initiating arts, culture and heritage programming in the Center while continuing to safeguard the historic fabric of the Peak House.
The Peak House Heritage Center will be known as an important and vital part of the arts, culture and heritage scene in MetroWest Boston. We will create productive and mutually enhancing partnerships with other area heritage attractions and tourism agencies to promote our historic landmark building and its key place in Medfield’s historic built environment. We will offer seasonal events based on the Center’s interpretive themes.
Our funding strategy includes these sources: 100% Board of Directors contributions, private and in-kind contributions, business sponsorships, foundation grants.
Vision Component to Preserve Facilities and Improve Operations
In the coming years, the house’s exterior siding and fieldstone foundation will be overhauled reflecting sustainable practices, in addition to maintaining historic preservation principles. We will continue to superbly maintain the exterior of our landmark building and grounds. The Colonial Gardens, both Kitchen and Vegetable, will be improved and augmented as a teaching tool about the survival of early residents.
