Partnerships – Medfield Public Schools
The Peak House Traveling Trunk delivers the Peak House’s material culture and history each Spring to nine (9) Third Grade classes at Medfield’s Ralph Wheelock School. This highly popular and appealing program engages over hundred twenty-five (225) students as well as adult leaders.
INCLUDED IN THE TRUNK:
- A detailed teacher’s notebook and lesson plans
- Actual historical artifacts and authentic reproductions including gravestone reproductions with rubbing paper and colored waxes, joinery samples and photos of early downtown Medfield
- Maps, graphics, games and crafts
- Student reading and reference material, activity sheets and discussion questions
(Trunk resources were selected by Nicole Sheehan and Erin Watson, both Third Grade teachers)

This project was made possible by a grant from Medfield Foundation’s Legacy Fund. The Traveling Trunk was fabricated with repurposed lumber from the former historic Clark Tavern by Early American Restoration of Framingham MA.
